"JERUSALEM, 9 March 2009 UNICEF Executive Director Ann M. Veneman concluded a four-day visit to the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel on Saturday with a call for stronger action to protect children. Veneman said Palestinian and Israeli childrens well-being and mental health have been severely affected by the conflict. She noted that children on both sides have borne the brunt for far too long, adding that they want and deserve a total, enduring end to the violence."
